About Anglia Mowers

From it's beginning in 1965, a one-man business has thrived over the years to become one of North Norfolk's most successful family enterprises, with investment in modern showrooms and work space.

A business that began life in an 8" x 4" summer house, Anglia Mowers has moved with the times to become one of the biggest names in garden machinery in North Norfolk.

It's a far cry from the early days of Anglia Mowers when the founder, Trevlyn Pigott, made his first grinding equipment out of any materials that came to hand, relying on his mechanical skills to create the infrastructure of the business.

With hard work and determination, Mr and Mrs Pigott successfully established a respected business, at Beeston Regis, near Sheringham, specialising in sales and servicing of domestic and professional grass cutting equipment.

Mr Pigott retired in 1997, handing over the business to his son Calvin, who joined the company in 1986 at the age of 15. With a free rein, Calvin continued to progress and expand the business with help from his brother-in-law Kevin James.

Anglia Mowers has invested part of its success in developing a modern showroom, office space and a 5000 square metre warehouse at its Britons Lane site in Sheringham, expanding the business threefold and bringing the total number of full-time staff to fifteen, six of whom are family members.

First and foremost Anglia Mowers puts its success down to friendly, honest advice. As the majority of staff are still family, we always take good and bad comments very seriously, and pride ourselves on supplying good-quality, branded products with excellent service and back-up. We have always had a saying, that if it not good enough for us, it's not good enough for our customers.

The selection of brands in stock now includes John Deere, Honda, Stiga, Atco, Qualcast, Hayter, Rover, Stihl, Bosch, Mountfield, Kawasaki, Sarp, Briggs and Stratton, Murray, MTD and Agri-Fab.

Due to the high level of experience of the factory-trained staff, Anglia Mowers is the only associated John Deere dealer in the UK which is recognised to sell and carry out warranty work on its professional lawn care equipment.

Some years ago, the business was approached by Honda UK to become the main dealer in North Norfolk to supply and service its range of garden machinery. It has now progressed to become one of Honda's top-performing dealers in the country, based on sales and after sales care. With dedicated multiple workshop space, the technicians work hard to keep the garden machinery of local authorities, schools, caravan sites, golf clubs and the general public in good working order.

Contract, professional and domestic customers often take advantage of our emergency breakdown service. We also keep thousands of spares in stock at all times with the facility to obtain any non-stock items normally with very short lead times. These parts are now available to buy right here on our website.

Anglia Mowers offers a complete buying experience, beginning with unbiased honest advice, on-site assistance and demonstrations and the servicing and repair of virtually all brands. If transport of machinery is difficult, customers can make use of our collection and delivery service. Our staff are always enthusiastic and ready to help, but most of all we appreciate our customers.
